We try do something that we really like, that makes us happy and gets our engines running. Where did the name come from?<\/p>\n<p>Marcus Jidell: It all started with Leif Edling. He contacted me and asked me to record some demos. That&#8217; s how it begun and soon we found out that we enjoyed working together. Recordings took place in such a nice studio and after a while we needed someone to sing the songs and we talked of many different people. Quite soon i asked Jennie-Ann if she could try to sing and when she started singing, that &#8216;s when we felt that we had something special. It was something new, something we &#8216;ve never heard before and also something we really liked. Lars filled in during the process of the first album. The whole band came together during that process. Everything just happened. Smoothly. &#8220;Avatarium&#8221; is something like a temple, where you can either worship your God or what&#8217; s important to you. Yeah, i thing i &#8216;m finally where i wanna be, musically speaking. I &#8216;ve already had great experiences are good time with different bands that i &#8216;ve played. In Greece, for example, with Evergrey, with the greek fans, who are really cool. For me music, i have to declare once more, is the fuel that gets my engine running. Meaning, what you would like to achieve through it?<\/p>\n<p>Marcus Jidell: I would like to keep on doing what i&#8217; m doing, i would like touring to new countries and meeting new fans. I don&#8217;t intend to stop that. As a band you need to have this relation with the fans for everything. When we play live i see reactions of people and i see when i &#8220;reached&#8221; them and when i did not. That&#8217; s the relationship between the audience and the band, extremely important. As i said Avatarium is about trying to find new ways to work with music and trying to break new grounds and not to stand still. I mentioned Robert Plant. Lemmy was a hard rockers&#8217; icon of course, so i was extremely moved when he passed away. To me he was a unique musician and as person, he meant much to me, cause he always did it his own way and he never lost -as we know- faith. Whatever he did, just did it, as good as he could and he was like a true rock &#8216;n&#8217; roll man. He was very much like Little Richard, whom i also like&#8230; David \u0392\u03bfwie was a big influence too. He did so many different things.
